Heavy-Duty, Extreme Pressure (EP) Petroleum-Based Gear Oils These heavy-duty, extreme pressure oils were developed to meet gear oil needs of most automotive, truck, heavy equipment and industrial gearboxes requiring an extreme pressure type oil. They meet military specification MIL-PRF-2105E and MIL-L-2105D and API categories GL-3, GL-4, GL-5, and MT-1. LUBRIPLATE "APG" products have high viscosity indexes ensuring stable products over a wide temperature range, high film strength, high aniline points that make them compatible with seals and gaskets and high resistance to oxidation, sludge and varnish.
